Catnip - also called Catmint or True Catnip - is a perennial herb that is native to parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Plant catnip seeds inside or outdoors in full sun or partial shade. It is greyish with dense whorls of whitish purple flowers. The leaves have a pungently mint-like smell and are used in tea and in cat toys. Cats and other felines relish the plant. It is said that it causes them to become playful and docile.
